Teaching Aims:

1. Language focus:

This chapter is about space travel and exploring. The main reading passage is very long. So at

the third period, I will let the students have the comprehensive understanding to the text and try to learn some difficult language points.

2. Ability aims:

To help students understand the whole passage. To train the students’ ability of reading.

To help them to read for specific information. Students learn to cooperate with their classmates 3. Emotion aims:

To train students to explore the future and cultivate the cooperative spirit

Main points: To learn the new words and read the passage Difficult points: new words in the passage Materials: 1. The multi-media system

Activities Give students some questions about the passage and check their understanding. Purpose Attract the students’ attention. 1.a.
