摘要：The invention relates to a fitting for a window or a door, wherein a lockingelement (2) is provided for engaging with a lock-engaging element (3) in a displacementdirection running along a rebate. When in the locked position, said locking elementengages in a laterally open locking slot (5) in the lock-engaging element (3), the lockingslot running along the rebate. A stationary stop (1) is associated with and a short distancefrom the locking element (2) on the transverse edge of the lock-engaging element (3)opposite the locking slot (5). The aim of the invention is to obtain an improved designwhich is easy to mount and does not have an adverse effect on the normal operation ofthe fitting, but still improves security during an attempted break-in. To achieve this aim,the stop (1) has a detachable detent mechanism for a lock (9) spring-loaded in thedirection of the lock-engaging element (3), and the detent mechanism is triggered whenthe lock-engaging element (3) contacts the stop (1).
