Sport plays an important role in our daily life. Most of us begin our day with some kind of exercise or sport. Athletics is part of our university curriculum. Many students play on either the departmental or university sports team after a hard day of class.
Some people take sports far too seriously. Some people are only interested in how their favourite sports team does: they don't care much about their country or the rest of the world. These people often get into fights if their team loses.
When I have time for sports there is one that I like more than any other. I find bas ketball both a physical and a mental challenge. Runing, jumping, and shooting, are also enjoyable and healthful sports.

A Beautiful City
Do you know Nanjing? I went to Nanjing on the holidays. If you don't know it, I'll tell you something about the beautiful city.
Nanjing is very large. There are many tall buildings, and lots of flowers and trees. It takes 30 minutes to get to the center by car. When you go there, you must be very excited.
I went to Fuzimiao. I don't think you'll know it, so I'll tell you something unusual about it. Fuzimiao is a good place to go shopping. There are many nice streets in it. On the streets there are lots of shops, like clothes shops, bookshops and shoeshops. You can buy anything you like in the shops and you can find souvenirs in Fuzimiao. I like going there because there are a lot of interesting things in it and they make me happy.

The Beautiful Sky
During the summer holidays, I went to my grandmother’s home. One evening after supper, I stood on the balcony to look at the sky.
The stars in the sky were twinkling. Some were crowded, and others were separate. Then I found that the stars were not the same colour. They were white, grey, light blue and orange. It was really beautiful. At that time, the sky was like blue damask decorated by millions of bright dimonds.
Looking up at the sky, I saw the moon. It was like a naughty child, sometimes it hid in the clouds and sometimes it got out of the clouds. It seemed to play “hide and seek” with us. The stars around the moon, however, were as shy as girls, and hid themselves in the clouds.
Oh, what a beautiful sky!

My Favorite Program
Nowadays more and more programs are shown every day. My favorite program is \"Discovery\" which is broadcasted by CCTV at 5'clock every other afternoon, except weekends. The program provides us with knowledge in natural and scientific aspects. I like to know about the secrets of animals and some scientific research. I acquire some knowledge about nature and science of the past, present and even the future. It is an interesting as well as instructive program. Besides, the pictures are very vivid and beautiful. It’ s really a great joy to watch it. Ifyou don’t believe what I said, just watch it by yourself. and then you will know I am right.

My holiday
Summer holiday has already come. How happy am I!
The favorite thing I wanna do is traveling. I joined an outdoor club and went to the seaside in Zhejiang province with other members. On July 20, we started our journey at 21:00 in the evening. I was so sleepy that I fell asleep in the bus.
Suddenly someone was pushing me. I opened my eyes and a beautiful sea was right there. What a beautiful place! We swam in the sea and played beach volleyball. The wind, the sunshine, the blue sky and the happy boys and girls formed a wonderful picture! At noon, we cooked seafood like crabs, shrimps, seashells and so on. They are all so delicious.

Learn English
We know it is difficult to learn English. My English is very good. I learn English like this.
I Listen to the teacher carefully and write the important points down on my notebooks. After class I revise the lessons. Before class I prepare new lessons to find out the questions. Then I will listen carefully in class.
I also listen to the tape, and speak English with my classmates in the classroom and on the playground. It’s to improve my listening and speaking.
I keep a diary every day to practise my written English.
Besides this, I often read English newspapers and magazines to enrich my knowlege on English culture.
We will learn English well so long as we learn it hard. 我们都认为学英语很难。我的英语很好。我这样学英语。

My School
I study in the No. 1 middle school, where there are three grades and thirty-two classes. It is not big but very beautiful.
