  课题           6a  unit1 public signs

  城东镇南屏小学  范小娣

  教材简析:

  本单元主要围绕“公共标志”这个话题开展各项活动,所涉及到的日常交际项目有介绍、询问、忠告和建议等。本课是第一课时,以“询问公共标志含义”及其应答为重点内容。

  教学目标:

  1、语言知识目标:

  (1)能听懂、会说、会读和会写单词和词组public, sign ,mean, danger, grass, keep off, quiet, smoke.

  (2)能听懂,会说和会读日常交际用语:keep off the grass ,be quite ,no smoking ,no littering ,no parking, no eating or drinking, danger ,do not touch.

  (3)能听懂,会说、会读和会写句型:what does it/this /that sign mean ?it means …

  2、语言能力目标:

  在日常生活中能用英语熟练表达一些公共标志的含义。

  3、情感态度目标:

  (1)在多元化的学习过程中自主学习。

  (2)在任务型学习活动中能灵活应变,学会创造。

  (3)在小组活动中,展示各成员的掌握、运用语言的综合能力。

  4、文化意识目标:通过学习,增强学生环保意识和自我保护意识。

  教学重难点:

  (1)听懂、会说、会说和会拼写单词public, sign ,mean, danger, grass, keep off, quiet, smoke.

  (2)能听懂、会说、会说和会写句型what does it /this/that mean? it means…

  (3)句型与短语相结合在实际情景中的具体运用

  设计理念:

  根据《英语课程标准》设计理念:

  1、从学生的学习兴趣和生活经验出发,倡导体验、实践、参与、合作与交流的学习方式和任务型的教学途径,发展学生的综合语言运用能力。

  2、小学英语课堂,必须树立“语言学习的外延和生活外延相等”的观念,教师要围绕(在生活中、通过生活、为了生活)”设计教学活动,从生活和英语的结合上,探索有效途径。

  3、尊重差异,让每个孩子都有成功的体验。

  4、拓展学生的文化视野,发展他们跨文化交际的意识和能力。

  设计思路:

  在设计教学时结合本课的教学目标和六年级学生的特点,,充分利用多媒体教学手段,创设了一个学生很熟悉的校园环境,在校园里不同的地方出现的不同的标志,让学生觉得说英语并不难,从而体验到用英语交流的兴趣和愉悦感。

  教学过程:

  step1、warming up

  1、greetings

  good  morning /afternoon.  …

  what day is it today?

  (目的   :与学生互致问候,进行交流沟通,实现师生互动,创造一种宽松、和谐的氛围,以达到情感交流的目的,为教学做好铺垫。)

  2、listen to a song “the signs in the park”.

  (目的:教师在放歌曲的同时,出示歌曲中相应的标志牌,提前进行渗透。)

  step2 、presentation

  1、learn ‘no smoking  no parking  public sign’

  t: today is the first day of school. mike is visiting his new school with his father. they make some mistake when they visit the school.please find them out。

  (目的:这个活动不但能够激起学生的好奇和好胜心理,也能让整节课的内容贯穿其中。)

  at the school gate

  (课件放映录像mike的爸爸将车停在校门口下车,点燃一支烟)

  ss:it’s a smoke.

  t:what am i doing?(假装吸烟)

  ss:you are smoking.(smoke-smoking)

  (课件出示校门口no smoking标志图)

  t:we can’t smoke at the school gate.

  t:it means ’no smoking’

  t:this is a public sign. they tell us we can’t smoke at school.

  2、learn “no eating or drinking  be quiet  ”

  a.in the computer room

  t:look, what is mike doing?

  ss:he is eating and drinking. (课件出示mike吃喝)

  t: can he eat and drink in the computer room?

  ss:no,he can’t.

  t:why?

  ss…

  t:there is a sign on the wall, what does it mean?

  ss:it means’no eating or drinking’

  t: let’s sing a song .

  what does it mean?          what does it mean?

  it means’no eating’.      it means’no drinking’.

  can i eat?                  can i drink?

  no,no,no.

  (目的:以学生喜闻乐见《两只老虎》的调子改编歌曲,学生能轻松地掌握新句型。)

  b.in the reading-room

  t:now be quiet(手放在嘴边), let’s follow them to the reading-room.

  t:it means ‘be quiet’

  quiet(边读边做动作)—be quiet

  t:what are mike and his father doing?

  ss:they’re talking.

  3、learn ‘do not touch  danger!’

  ss: o k!

  t: nose,nose,nose, touch your nose

  mouth,mouth, mouth, touch your mouth

  do not touch it, touch your head.

  (出示do not touch 的标志图)

  t: it means…  (配合手势让学生理)

  ss: it means“do not touch”(反复操练,引入句型)

  b.in the science room

  (课件出示mike正准备拿一瓶液体化学物质)

  t:there is a bottle of wet goods(液体物质),can mike touch it?

  ss:no,he can’t.

  t:why?

  …

  t:yes,maybe it’s danger.

  t:what does this sign mean?(出示danger标志图)

  ss:it means ‘danger’.

  (目的:以tpr形式在不知不觉中引出,do not touch,学生对此喜闻乐见,同时通过do not touch引出danger,  学生感到自然易懂)

  3、learn  ‘keep off the grass  no littering’

  a.in the playground

  (课件出示mike将垃圾扔在操场上)

  t:can you find mike’s mistake.

  ss:yes.

  t:he can’t litter the rubbish in the playground.

  learn:litter

  t:what does this sign mean?(出示no littering标志图)

  出示:先出现一片绿油油的草坪,(教师用赞美的语言how  beautiful!)

  课件呈现“keep off the grass”标志。

  t:what does this sign mean?

  s: it means“keep off the grass”

  ss: it means“keep off the grass”

  (目的:语言要在情境中教,在情境中学,有情境的英语教学才能激励学生的学习兴趣和积极性,提高了学生理解知识、运用语言的能力。)

  step3.practise

  1、bingo

  (目的:这个游戏能过加强学生对所学单词的记忆。)

  2、magic eyes(部分提示猜出标志)

  a:what does this sign mean?

  b:it means…

  (目的:这个活动的安排不但能巩固已学的标志和句型,也能够调起学生的兴趣)

  step4. consolidation

  1、listen to the tape and read after it.

  2、play a game .‘quickly respond’

  (老师课前先收集一些生活中的标志,让学生分组进行抢答)

  (目的:快速反应的游戏让学生的注意力高度集中,而且增加了学生课外知识的容量)

  step5.homework

  1、write the new words and the sentences.

  2、find some other public signs in the daily life.

  3、listen to the tape.
